I Bought a Land line telephone from argos, threw the box away but it is faulty,can i get a refund without box?

Threw the box away, then a few day later found it no longer works (base wont turn on, and when it does it goes off pretty much straight away!) Will argos give me a refund without the original packaging? All i have is the phone, base, cables and manual.
