I like this shy Sagittarius guy but I can't figure him out!?

The thing is that when he flirts it's very subtly. How do I figure him out? He's like my best friend and he does have a history of liking his close friends that are girls and some of his friends think he likes me but I just cant tell if he likes me. What are some signs I should look out for?
