How to deal with unreasonable parents?

Yes you feel like your almost an adult,,,and while you feel your parents are being unjust in their expectations, believe me, their rules are probably more for them than for you. They are coming to realize that soon they will be watching you leave the nest, off to college, and experiencing life without their guidance. Try to understand from their point of view for now. Another year can seem like an eternity, but you do have the rest of your life to live socially without them. Practice some patience, and show them the love they are showing you. As for the little brother issue, I would insist you are NOT the babysitter of the house. That you have in fact grown out of that job position. If they want you to understand their rules, you would like to propose some of your own. Make a list...see what strikes your fancy...never know, they may go for it.
