Why have people asked this before about the National Lottery?

Is it just a tax on the poor, with the poor subsidising the poor, and has it become immoral with huge wins, which can see the winner going out and spending 66,000 on a top of the range range Rover, only days after digging his allotment and growing onions and veg. And John major said it was not working how he set it up to work, and was at first a bit of fun on a saturday night, and if you won you were happy, and if you did not win you were happy to be donating to good causes, but more and more draws have been introduced, and scratch cards, which can see people having to spend about 30 per week to play them all, and also there was a huge surplus of money which i believe has now gone to bail out the olympic games......Also when Tony Blair said that he was going to give the lottery to a non profit making organisation Camelot said that they would switch off the terminals, and end the lottery and so Blaire backed down and Camelot now will run the lottery for ever, and no one else will ever be able to run it, and the Indian bid came to nothing, and Richard Branson,s bid came to nothing, and it cannot bo good to have one organisation running the Lottery for ever......
