Last I herd Alaska is part of the USA. If your provider allows calls within the USA, standard rates applied, then you can do it. The country code for the United States is 1 and area codes are 3 digit numbers such as 303. each state, city/county may have their own are code, to make a call to that location from a location out side of that area code, you have to dial the area code you are calling to.
